The Railway Cottage—a two-bedroom terrace originally commissioned by the London & North Western Railway Company around 1840—stands as a charming relic of Britain’s golden age of rail. Rich in period character, yet weathered by decades of neglect, it had fallen far from its former glory. In 2021, Abney & Cove were asked to assist with visuals for a full refurbishment programme. The project began with the creation of a dual-level primary bedroom, incorporating a mezzanine en-suite. Visuals for the entrance hallway, kitchen and parlour room followed, breathing new life and style into this characterful cottage.
